The Micro Endstop Switch is also known as a limit switch. In CNC, 3D Printing and Rep Rap Printers this switch is used as Micro Endstop Switch and to detect the max and min limits of the axis. Mechanical switches are simple to use and cheaper than optical end-stops because they do not require a circuit board and only use 2 wires to connect the switch. Pull-up and down resistors can be put close to the mainboard.
